Grant has provided comprehensive facility management services for the St. Francis Medical Center – Trenton’s first hospital that has grown to an acute care teaching hospital with more than 300 medical staff physicians representing all specialties. 

Grant provides all-encompassing oversight and guidance for St. Francis’ Maintenance Department, in addition to providing critical life safety and code reviews. Grant staffs a full-time on-site Director of Facility Management, Project/Construction Manager, Director of Maintenance, and Administrative Staff providing management/oversight of in-house HVAC mechanics, plumbers, electricians, painters, and boiler operators. Grant successfully streamlined maintenance procedures, policies, and accountability regarding work order requests, tracking, and completion.   

In addition, Grant partnered with St. Francis and their parent company Trinity Health to develop a Facility Condition Assessment and Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Program to guide strategic facility investment for a five-year period. 

For the Facility Condition Assessment, our team of in-house Professional Engineers and Subject Matter Experts reviewed, tested, and inspected the building systems, equipment, and components before providing a comprehensive report of recommended improvements.

For the CIP, Grant provided expertise for the Needs Statement, Scope of Work, Design and Construction Cost Estimates, and Prioritization. The CIP outlined more than $23 million of improvements ranging from structural improvements in the parking garage to new electrical infrastructure and roof replacements. Grant is currently serving as Owners Representative and Construction Manager for the implementation of the “Top Priority Projects.” In this capacity, Grant’s duties include issuing RFPs, overseeing design consultants, providing on-site construction management and administration, and coordinating with regulatory authorities, including the Department of Community Affairs and State Department of Health.
